Why DPF Cleaning?

Using our DPF service can generate significant savings, eliminating the need to undertake costly on-going repairs or expensive new filters.

The DPF captures particulate ‘soot’ emissions from the exhaust of diesel engines.

Over time, there is a natural build up of soot in the DPF.

The modern diesel engine is designed to self-clean the DPF. However, this is not always the case and over a period of time, the DPF becomes blocked and function is impaired.

If your vehicle is generally used for short runs, it may never reach the required temperature to be able to burn off soot, so can be easily blocked.

When this occurs, the DPF will become clogged with particulate matter resulting in poor engine efficiency and an increase in fuel consumption. It is at this point that your DPF needs to be fully cleaned, returning your DPF to 98% efficiency.
